I've been making a whole lot of jewelry lately, so I think that I'll start posting some of it here on my blog. I really enjoy making jewelry. It's calming, and very portable. I can take it with me to work on pretty much everywhere I go.

 This is my latest creation, made fresh this morning using light pink pearls, and seed beads. I played with a few different size and color combinations before I finally settled on this. I can't wait to wear them with a pretty summer dress!

 

Wall Quilt

Well...I finally finished it. My first completed quilt, other than patchwork potholders. I think it came out pretty good. 

I hand appliqued all the details, including the three dimensional Rose of Sharon  blooms that I put in the corners of the border. I'm sure that my next quilt will be even better! 

I've been sewing since the age of six, and quilts are new to me. Sometimes you just have to try your hand at something new. Thanks to my Mom for the pointers she gave me on this. She has been a wonderful teacher throughout the years!
